MUNGYO Corp.'s chalk factory was relocated to Bogor, Indonesia (PT. MUNGYO).

MUNGYO ONS Corp. was established, separating the glue stick, marker, and injection molding businesses

2013

Awarded "Asia Design Excellence" at Paperworld Frankfurt.

2012

Selected as "Extraordinary Stationery" at Paperworld Shanghai.

2007

Established a new factory and warehouse in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, near Seoul.

2005

Spun off the dental and medical plaster business under the name DK MUNGYO Corp.

2003

Established a factory in Shanghai, China (Shanghai MUNGYO Corp.).

2002

Separated the chalkboard business under the name MUNGYO School Supplies (Eobang-dong, Gimhae, Gyeongnam).

Completed the new chalk factory at Hallim, Gimhae, Gyeongnam and established MUNGYO Corp.

2001

Acquired a glue stick manufacturing company and began production.

1981 - 2000

Designated as a promising company for producing products related to the 2002 Korea/Japan World Cup and Busan Asian Games.

1998

Began production of whiteboard markers and permanent markers.

1997

Renamed the company to MUNGYO Kyojai Co.

1993

Expanded the chalkboard factory (Eobang-dong, Gimhae, Gyeongnam).

1992

Built a new plaster plant under the name MUNGYO Industries Corp. (Hallim, Gimhae, Gyeongnam).

1987

Began sponsoring the Korean Pastel Association (ongoing).

1986

Introduced the French Modern Pastel Exhibition to Korea (in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Korea-France diplomatic relations).

1983

Won the gold medal at the National Saemaul QC Competition in Korea.

1946 - 1980

Acquired a plaster factory and began production.

1974

Relocated the factory from Busan to Eobang-dong, Gimhae, Gyeongnam (Current location), and renamed it MUNGYO Saemaul Company.

1973

Won the Gold medal at the National Quality Control Competition.

1966

Renamed the company to MUNGYO Industrial Company.

1952

Began chalk production.

1946

On August 15, MUNGYO Blackboard Company was founded (Bosu-dong, Jung-gu, Busan) and began producing blackboards.
